a feeling

23 Mar

Sunburn on my skin, licks like a kiss up and down my arms.

Only the arms,

only the arms speak with a lisp of heat in their movement.

Such sweet heat, in the night’s musky air,

It’s quiet in this room but for the friend of a window, conversing with the wind.

Sweet summer, do me a favor and send your caressing air between my knees

Between my thighs

A heat, a heat, a heat

That needs something more than the burn of sun and the flirt of the breeze

A heat

Come touch me

Come light up this heat

Hair wet, towel around my skin, in the moonlight, this picture would be better if you

come add something else to this

heat, this coolness, this wetness, this heat.

A blush.

Tragically Hopelessly Endlessly – ‘Prologue’

20 Mar

Sometimes I imagine that we’re lovers tragically fated throughout time,

Always hopelessly repeating our meetings, our feelings.

Endlessly reincarnated together.

It’s short I know, but this the ‘prologue’ to the piece I mentioned earlier. I was never a big fan of autobiographies, but people say you should write what you know, and what I know are ridiculously weird, sometimes hilarious and sometimes tragic lot stories. This is not the start of an autobiographical piece, but it would be a good idea to say I drew heavily from experiences and then tailored them into something suitable for a good story. This short little blip is to set the tone for the piece. Life updates later! Oh blogging, I love thee.

L.Only

19 Mar

Love will drive you crazy,

’til the rage behind your heart

escapes through knotted hands onto painted toy soldiers.

Crying, shouting, screaming, believing

“You are my only”

Only,

Only,

Only,

cause of so much pain.

Another free verse poem to help cope. I love poetry, it’s so freeing. You don’t have to conform to a set of standards if you don’t want to and that’s the beauty of it in that it’s pure expression. I feel that the structure of the words is important in poetry. How something looks can change interpretations, or even just make it easier to understand/read.

I can’t really call what I am currently engaged in a ‘relationship’. I call it a tragedy really, haha, but we’ll conquer that topic a little later on I think. But I feel the overall message of this is true for anyone, love is one of those things we will endure pain for regardless, no matter how many times we must because it is something… needed in life.
